Some of the best..

Here are a couple of Annabel's day nurses. Heenan and Carla are so sweet with Annabel. Heenan was Annabels nurse in the pod prior to being in her private room. Carla has been our nurse the last two days. Heenan still drops by daily to pay her a visit. If you noticed the bling-bling in Annabels hair, this is from Carla. She went to lunch and reappeared with her sweet gift. The last picture is of Beth our night nurse for the last two nights. She has allowed me to get much needed rest. I do know they have so many demands and I hope they forgive me if I act as if I am the only patient in the hospital with my gazillon questions! We have had several other wonderful nurses and I do hope to get their pictures with Annabel before we leave.

Sweet pictures with the nurses. I love that even though Annabel is not feeling her best yet and in the hospital, she keeps herself looking good with her jewelry and hair accessories. Go Annabel, I love the look sweetie. Love you Cathy and praying you home in His time.

Love and Hugs, Laurie

I would love to know where Texas Childern get their Nursses, I think God must send them. When Emily was there, everyone was so wonderful.

You gotta love and appreciate those special nurses. They are often unsung heroes.

One of my favorite nurses came in one day to the room that my husband and I hadn't left for 2 weeks and she said, "Ok, you two look like hell. I am going to call in a volunteer and I want you to go out and walk." I told her no way were we going to leave Annie and we would take turns going for a walk.

A few minutes she showed up wearing a smock and she told us that the other nurses were covering for her for half an hour. She said she was going to hold Annie on the rocking chair and not put her down once.

Acts of kindness are long remembered.

Ooh Cathy,

My prayers are with you, Annabel and the entire family!! I just read your l;st week and I exhausted can't imagine how you feel..I don't have much else to offer in encouragement but I do know the best thing I can do is pray and I will. Hoping that you'll return home soon and get a good night's rest. Even when not feeling great, Annabel looks adorable.

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress..may he send you help..and grant you support..may he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed...Psalm 20 vs. 1-4 in part~
