Still no growth....

So it looks like we are not experiencing a line infection and I can't tell you how relieved I am. The fact is that something is going on with her but it doesn't justify being in the hospital. We all agreed that if something else happens we can easily return. So we are being discharged today, maybe late tonight. She has had blood drawn for type and cross-match, so when the blood transfusion is completed we should be good to go. Thank you for continued support and prayers. The Benadryl is keeping Annabel pretty drowsy as you can see from the picture.

So far, so good...

Not much energy or eye contact but she was so cute sitting propping herself up on her TPN backpack. We haven't hit the 24 hrs. preliminary cultures yet but so far no new is good news. I am praying that tomorrow will bring good news, that maybe, just maybe this could have been a virus or something not serious. Her temps today didn't exceed 100.3. She is still uncomfortable and fussy. Sorry this is short but thank you for the text, emails, phone messages and the comments on the blog. Will let you know more tomorrow.

Praying it isn't possible...

That is my prayer. The fever rose today and her white count dropped. So tonight we are in Houston being admitted when a room is available. The plan is to treat it like it is a line infection until the cultures come back. If nothing grows then it can be discontinued. If this is a line infection the thinking is that we are catching it early hopefully. We made it 5days off the IV's we were discharged on from last infection. She doesn't look terrible. She seems a little restless, agitated, itches and she whinces when you touch her body too much. I don't even have to ask as I know you are already in prayer and I surely appreciated it.

Tutu Cute....

Actually they are all too too cute, but this is what Annabel's top said today as she left for school!
