The Constant Battle

Please keep Annabel in all of your prayers. Her health is still fluctuating. They have not found anything out whether it is a virus or bacteria yet, but her health continues to decline. She still is slightly trembling in her arms and her color is slowly fading. Hopefully more fluids will counteract the diarrhea and help her stay hydrated. Right now we are waiting on an x-ray to hopefully help determine if she has a bowel obstruction or not. This could possibly lead to surgery if that is the case. All I can ask at this point is for prayers from everyone. We greatly appreciate everyone's support.

Dear Cathy,

Thank you so much for the update - I have been checking the blog lots! We are all praying so hard for your whole family. I am glad you are in Houston, but selfishly wish you were at St. E's so we could come by, eat some junk food, and laugh at silly things (ok, our husbands lol)!

WE LOVE YOU!

Cathy, I am so sorry to hear that Annabel is having such a difficult time!

I can tell tell you that I am praying like crazy and also that my daughter was at Vanderbilt Hospital her sophomore year at Vanderbilt University with a horrible case of mono and I truly thought she was dying when she was terribly dehydrated. She was very gray and still and "leaving", I swear. Praying that the docs will get your precious princess hydrated and figure out what exactly her little body is dealing with.

She may need some blood replaced to make her stronger. It sounds as if she has lost blood and fluid.

Prayers for you, too, sweet friend as I know it's so hard to witness.

Thank you, Jesus for being with our beloved Annabel. You love her more than we can even fathom and know that you have, are and will work in her life in mighty ways. We pray that you will give the doctors and nurses caring for her wisdom and knowledge, compassion and love for our little Annabel.

God bless her mom as she lovingly cares for and worries over her sweet little one. We ask for healing, Lord. Please make our sweet Annabel better so she can share her joy and love that radiates so beautifully from her.
Thank you Lord!
Amen.

Praying for Annabel and hoping that things clear up! I hope she doesn't need surgery, but if she does I pray the doctors will get her through it and back to mamma in no time!

We will all continue praying here for Annabel and you and Tara. For Annabel, that the nurses and doctors will fall in love with that girl as madly as we all have, and want to comfort her and cuddle her, and have wisdom about whatever is the best care for her. Sounds like they already are pretty much there, but I'll still continue.

For you, that the nurses will think you are just the coolest mommy ever, and slip you special treats like fresh coffee and muffins in the morning, and look away if they happen to see you peeking at the very rare text :) and the docs will be drawn to your love for your baby, and welcome all your questions, and see Annabel with your eyes, because of the questions. And for Tara, that someone will drop by the room or bump into her on the way to McDonalds, and be so totally amazed at her sweetness, superior intelligence, extraordinary beauty, and devotion to her mom and baby sister, that they can't imagine not wanting to learn everything there is to know about her.

Just 'cause I'm thinking she needs her own excitement while you guys are hanging out there. Ya know? And I'm thinking every mommy of an angel like Annabel also needs a Tara. ;)

Going to bed, but I'm praying for you both (all 3) to get restful sleep, and that in the morning, you feel like they let you sleep in, or something! Oh, and I'm personally praying for quiet little elves to sneak in and empty those LOUD trash and linen containers tonight, instead of noisy, crashing aides.
