It's back...or did it really even go away...

The lab results are in and c-diff is back. When she was in Houston they tested her and it showed positive for c-diff. One week later we were admitted to our hospital here at home and found that her stool tested negative for c-diff. I guess we just assumed being on the antibiotic that it was gone. We finished the 20 days of Fladyl and never missed a dose. Friday was our last day and Monday night she began to show early signs. She is definetly not in as much pain and she is well hydrated. Those were two of her most severe symptoms last time we were in, so we think our pediatrician jump on this and got it very early. The thought is that she will have to just stay on this until her bowel surgery in early June. She is trying so feeds but with each feed she gets tummy troubles, nothing as bad as before. All in all things are better and hoping we can go home soon.
We called her pumonologist in Houston today as she was not keeping her sats up with the Bi-Pap. Being new at this not sure if he wants to add oxygen or adjust her setting on the machine.
On a side note, don't you think we need to request some pink hospital gowns??? Yellow totally washes her out!

Continuing to think of you guys and check in to see how Annabel is... SO SORRY you are at it again! PLEASE let me know if there is anything I can do and we will be praying. Give that sweet girl a big kiss from me- Maybe someone who actually knows how to sew could make her her own little gown. I would totally volunteer but I don't think anything I made would actually be wearable! :)

Love so much!

Just checking in on Annabel. We had our appt with the urologist today, I'm about to update my blog. Looks like we are going with the Mitrofanoff, after a little more testing.

I hope she feels better so you can go home soon!

Annabel is truly so beautiful in ANY color, but pink is more princess-y, which she surely is!

Great to see her looking better all ready! I think staying on the antibiotics until surgery is a sound idea.

I am right there with Kenzie. I had to sew a pillow case and an A-line skirt in "home ec" and would not have used or worn (except that one day when we were forced!)it unless it was to save my life. I did not get an "A"...

Hoping your birthday was a good one after all!!!

Love,
Kathy

Dear Cathy,

I have a seamstress "connection" that I will consult about your request lol! For her surgery in June, Annabel will be the best dressed patient in the hospital for sure! But I need you to (ahem)"borrow" a gown that we can use for a pattern.

Oh, don't worry, I am not personally going to even thread a needle, but I will be the "middle man" in this high fashion adventure!!!!!!!!!!

Who knows, a new fad may be born....

Love you and Belle!

Lisa
P.S. Thank God for Dr. B

Poor Annabel. I'm glad she's still smiling, though.

And yes, the yellow isn't a great colour for her!

Praying for you, as always.

Poor Annabel,

Well, I am glad that they have it figured out anyways.

Cathy I think if you suggest that they bring in some pink garments, preferable with some smocking on them, it will be sure to be put on the high priority list. After all, a sick girl has to look her best!

Well I think she has a glow about her in yellow, like a sun kissed face. But I do think pink would be better. Hugs and Kisses

Cathy,

Please know that Annabel is in our prayers, and you too, for strength to continue taking care of her. God bless. I wish there was something I could do to help but we are so far away. Big hugs to you and Annabel.
