Does this look like incompatible with life??????

For those that aren't familar with her disease, Trisomy 18, the title of this post is the definition to what it means.

Wow, how amazing she is!!! Your daughter is an inspiration and I wish I could introduce her to the doctor who first told me those horrible words you used in your title.

My son had trisomy 18. Although we were blessed with only a short time with him, he was a miracle, too.

Definitely not - she is such a doll! Babies and kids like her show how important it is to give every baby the chance at life!

I just love everyone of these pictures Cathy. And you know that the term "incompatible with life" doesn't fly with me one bit. Annabel, Mallorie, Zoe, Magdalena, Tristan, Jacob, Poppy, Eva, Copeland,
Mary Grace, Maddox, Eliot, and the list goes on; these children, each and everyone, granted the number of days God has ordained, are proof that God is the only One with the final say about life. Each one has a ministry that the world needs to listen to and open their hearts. I am so thankful for the knowledge and softened heart each one of these precious babies has taught me. And thank you for sharing your Annabel with us so that we may know more and do more to give everyone of these babies the chance to teach Us. I love you my friend. Have a most blessed day!!

HA! I wish I could show this beautiful happy little girl to all the Drs. who liked to quote me that line . "Incompatible with life" I've always hated that line. She is so full of life and probably enjoys it more than most of us :)

And you KNOW how I feel about that phrase!!

And the answer is, NO, she doesn't. Annabel is such an amazing girl, full of personality and joyous to be around. I know how everyone fights with you for the chance to hold her.

ALL your kids are so beautiful, and so photogenic! I know you are so proud of them all. And I love how the older ones love Annabel.

A more fit term would be the true "Meaning of Life". To enjoy each day at its fullest, make those around you happier just by your presence, and to love eveyone as Jesus himself loved the world.

Cathy,

Annabel gives everyone hope(!) and joy!!!

I wish this post could be on the front page of all newspapers and medical journals. The medical profession needs to catch up with itself. Praying for more medical personnel to appreciate every life and for every baby to be given every chance possible.

Love what Laurie said! I was praying very early this morning for Annabel and the babies and families that Laurie mentions and then get to see your beautiful post! These little ones are all beautiful miracles and much-loved!!! Beautifully answered prayers...

Your children are all so beautiful and little Annabel is so blessed to have you all as you all are blessed to have her! Thanks for sharing your joy!!!

Love,
Kathy

Thank you for always commenting on my blog. I am sorry that I am not as good at it, but please know that I keep up with sweet Annabel. I know that she blesses your life as much as Magdalena does mine, and God definitely challenges us to make us more like him through our children.

I got the stocking at Sweet Dreams in Madison, MS. They have frogs, dogs, etc. for girls and boys.

My husband's great-nephew was diagnosed with a heart condition that was "incompatible with life" - but thanks to our dear Lord and the team at the Birmingham Children's Hospital he is still with us, and running about all over!
