We are thankful...

Just a quick post to say thank you to all who are praying. The things that affect me most are of course my children. Things are looking better and Annabel is showing signs of getting herself back to normal. She doesn't seem to be as congested, sleeping much better and eating well. She is still having some gagging and retching episodes but they are fewer and farther in between. She had several at school this week and kept everyone on her toes. She didn't experience any color change but they have been lasting longer period of time. As you can see from the pictures she is not as smiley as normal but they are much happier period with less weak period. I have said many times before, it is truly on by God's grace that she is here and through so many prayers that she keeps going. Today after morning Mass we had a church breakfast and this sweet lady came up to comment on how cute Annabel is. When she asked her name and I told her Annabel, she said "Oh, this is who we have been praying for so long!" In our community, people know her by her name and pray for her without ever having met her. I never want anyone to think I take their prayers for granted. Each smile and her sweet touch from Annabel reminds us of how good our God is.
I now will apologize for this past post. I felt I needed to update but in reading it over now, it was not a very positive post. I do think our drive this past Sunday to the beach had more of an impact than what I realized. Talking with our friends who have also sustained damage or lost their beach homes have expressed similar feelings. Also, when seeing it up close you just wonder about how many lives were lost and still not accounted for. People now are talking about building again and that maybe this little community will return and provide many more memories for families in the years to come.

Cathy so good to read a post from you! Thank you for updating us all. I am so relieved to hear that our Annabel is doing a bit better. I will continue to pray that she recovers fully quickly! I am so sorry for your loss in your home and having to deal with moving while this one is being worked on. I will pray that this time is a time of healing... physically, materially and spiritually. Use this time to allow God to speak to you, teach you and heal. You are so precious to me! Love your family dearly!

I'm glad to hear that Annabel is starting to perk up again! I totally understand what you mean by being affected by your children's problems! It can be so consuming and change our whole perspective on things! It's just hard to see them not doing well. It's sad and worrisome too! Hang in there and know that I'm praying for your family!
