Please Pray...

Please pray for this family. Mieko is 4 yrs. old. I have followed her for almost 3 years. She has full trisomy 18 and she could sit up, walk and was the happiest little girl. Her mom is Maya and her father is Shawn. She was their only child and they lived in California. Anytime I had a question concerning Annabel, I could write and she would tell me what they had done, or what equipment they liked. No, I have never met them personally, but I am crushed with grief. She has passed away this morning. I find myself wanting to scream at God and ask WHY???? She has lived a good life and she is 4 years old now, Why???? Lately, I have had several people ask me, "Now that Annabel is 3 years old, does that change her prognosis?" That reality is that it doesn't matter, they are very fragile babies. Their little organs are just not made like ours, they are frail. Mieko, thank you, for all the smiles you gave to everyone and the fight that you faced each day. We will miss you so much and are praying for your mommy and daddy.

Cathy,

I am so sorry, I know this news brought you great pain. It breaks my heart for Mieko's family, I have heard so much about the amazing little girl. My prayers are with her family, and with you as I know this is also a difficult time for you.

Oh NO Cathy! I am so heart broken... no,. no, no! Oh I wish I was there to hug you! Bless her heart! Sound like she has left an increadible legacy and touch many, many lives. Through all the pain and crushed moments Gods divine purpose was that He wanted her home with Him, she is free now and what beautiful pitcure that is of the Father calling one of His little ones home. I will look at there site, I don't know anyting about this special angel, but will be praying for you and her family!

2 Corinthians 4:7-12
7But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. 12So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

Much love and hugs your way! Tam

Cathy,

Thanks for your concern about our family! We are doing well. My husband will not be able to bear any weight on his foot for 1 more month and then will be in a walking cast for 2-3 more months after that. He is very independent and stubborn, which is a good thing in this case! :) I really don't need to help him much, but I'm finding that it's the little things that make the situation difficult. (Like, having him carry Gavin to another room or to the car for me. Things like that.) Otherwise we are doing well.

I've been praying for Mieko's family and yours as well. It's just so sad! May God Bless You and Them!!!

Thanks again for your kind words and thoughts!
