Circle Time...

This is what we call circle time at our house. I walked in her room the other day and Rebekah our nurse had all this set up and Annabel was reaching for whatever toy she wanted. It was just a few months ago that we couldn't get Annabel to play with anything. She really didn't like to grasp toys. Now she reached for almost anything! She continues to still run fever up to 101. She has had 3 episodes of vomitting tonight. The lab only ran one blood culture and they aren't sure if it is the periphial or the central line culture. So today we went back and had two more drawn. We don't think this is where the temperature is coming from since she isn't getting any sicker. She is tired and her coloring is poor. She is requiring more oxygen the last three nights, so something is up. Maybe just viral and hanging on longer than we expect. She does have playful period and for this we are thankful.

Okay, I can see that Annabel needs a "Big Al" to join her in Circle Time:) That is if y'all will allow a little "Roll Tide" in her room! Hope she kicks this fever and feels better soon! Love the picture and love seeing her up playing this way! She is such a precious miracle and I am SO thankful that I "know" her AND YOU, Ms. Cathy!

My new favorite picture, so precious. As hard as I try, I just can not work up a good dislike for this Rebekah.

You never say whether Annabel was adopted or fathered by someone else. I know its not really OUR anonymous public business (I dont have a google account) but I was just curious if she is a special needs adoption and the story behind that, like if you knew before you adopted her what her situation was, or if you birthed her if you knew before you had her?

It's obvious she shares a different parent or both parents than your other children, and I hope you dont take this as offensive, i am just really curious as I am searching my heart about adoption of special needs children right now and trying to see the path i should be on.

she is a beautiful girl and I love her curls!

Yes. Sweet Annabel is adopted. We did know she had full trisomy 18 prior to adopting her.

I love that she is able to pick out and graspt what she wants. Thank you for sharing her improvements. We will be praying that her color will improve!
