Evacuating can be fun...

Our little trip to evacuate turned out to be a fun weekend at my brothers in Dallas. The kids had fun and we got to visit with my nieces and nephews. On very short notice they let us join in on their Labor Day fun. My brother Carl, grilled out by the pool and we all enjoyed visiting out by the pool and also in the air conditioning. We were only away two nights and were happy to return home quickly to no hurricane. Our prayers go out to all who were in Hurricane Gustav path. We miss our son Tyler, who is on hurricane duty with his unit. We are hoping he returns home soon. He is not shown in the pictures of the weekend and we missed having him with us. Annabel's days were good but her nights were hard. I don't think she does well in hotel rooms, maybe just airborn allergies. It was a lot of time sitting in her carseat while we were driving. We are thankful that the hurricane didn't come and will be praying that the rest of the season is calm. Again, to my brother and sister in law, Paula and their sweet family a big Thank You!

We thought we were going to have to evacuate because of Hanna - now it looks like she's going to hit land a little farther north. It's such a shame it takes something like this to go visit family....we were going to visit my grandmother further north in GA. I love reading your blogs!! Glad you all had fun,(and were safe)! By the way, where did you gett the TOO cute pink and white smocked outfit Annabel is wearing?

I wanted to thank Tyler for being willing to serve our country and help fellow citizens in the hurricane relief! Cathy, you and your husband must be so proud!!!

THANK YOU TYLER!!!

Praising God that this one wasn't as bad as it could have been. Looks like a long season...

We are supposed to be receiving rain from Gustav way up here in Northern Michigan! It will actually be appreciated here.

Hope you all are back home and comfortable and won't have to evacuate again any time soon.Love,
Kathy
