On The Mend...

Annabel is on the mend. Everyones thoughts and prayers are so appreciated! THANK YOU! Each day she has had improvement. Each day I am grateful and so thankful! Her sleep patterns are getting better, she is eating more and we are using less medicine. The best news is we have many, many more smiles. I do know that the people who read the blog and have experienced Trisomy 18 will understand that just a simple cold can become so much more with these babies. Others who may not have encountered the special needs children that are so fragile may not understand why we ask for prayers for something that seems so simple, like a cold that everyone gets.
Ok, from the last post there was a comment that wanted to know why Annabel was darker than the rest of the family. I will answer that here, but if anyone else wants to ask more personal questions, I would prefer you to email me. The address is on the side bar of the blog. I do appreciate your openness and curiosity.
Some babies are born UNDER their mother's heart, and some babies are born IN their mother's heart. Annabel was born IN my heart and I thank God everyday for His most precious gift of total perfection!

Cathy,

You are so kind, so very kind. It shows even in the way you address people's questions here. I am so glad she is feeling better. She looks so happy to be near you. Please let me know if I can do any thing for you. Many people pray for her and your entire family.

Dear Cathy,
As always you are so kind and gracious! You may want to do what the Fahmner's did and only allow posts once you have approved them! You are such an inspiration to adoptive mothers everywhere!
Love,
Lisa

Cathy, I hope that you don't mind that I have posted your site address in one of my blog entries. With you permission I would like to add it to the side of the blog so that my readers can continue to be blessed through Annabel's life. She is such a miracle, and I am thankful for the time you have spent writing on your blog. Thank you!

I understand the fear of a simple cold. The breathing treatments, and the constant wonder of iv hook ups, and hospital stays.
Im so glad she is overcoming this, and will be well soon.
You and your daughter are beautiful!

Hi Cathy,

More smiles, on the mend, this is so good to hear this morning. I never had the experience of a fragile child and it is through Annabel and so many other sweeties, that I have been learning how to pray for them. I am so blessed and grateful for your honesty here, teaching us all to develop more compassion. You are so full of grace in addressing questions and I admire your faith and trust in the Lord as He guides you. Praying daily that Annabel continues to stay healthy and asking Him for your daily strength. You are such a special lady and I am blessed to call you my friend.

Love and Hugs, Laurie in Ca.

Cathy,

So glad to hear that she is "on the mend!" I totally understand how scary just a simple cold can be for a child with special needs!

I'm happy to hear that she is back to giving her adorable smiles too! What a precious gift smiles can be!

Keep up the great job and thanks for sharing your inspirational story for others to learn from!

Cathy,
I haven't read the blog lately due to some computer issues. I am glad to see that Annabel is feeling more like herself. I love to see her smiling face. Hope you guys are getting a chance to enjoy the summer. The pic of Annabel in the pool looked like she was enjoying it very much.
Thanks for sharing.

love,
Holly & Morgan
